We provide information and training to parents and teens about human sexuality and the possible consequences of a teenage sexual relationship.

Do you teach about various methods of birth control?

First and foremost we stress that abstinence is the only 100% sure way to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases STDs. The other forms of birth control only reduce the risks.

Which forms of birth control do you teach?

This is the decision of the organization that has invited us to teach the course. We can include or exclude any information that the host is not comfortable with. We stress that abstinence is the only effective means of preventing pregnancy and STDs.

When will I be ready for sex?

This is your descision and you need lots of information to make this choice. Your body may be physically capable of performing sexual acts, producing pregnancies and or transmitting a disease after puberty. But, are you mentally, emotionally and financially ready to take on all the possible consequences of sex? Some people are in their late 20's or early 30's before they are ready. Your parents should be able to answer your questions.

How will I learn about sex if I don't do it?

This is one case where practice does not make perfect. Relationships require respect and caring concern, not sex.

How do I know if my partner has an STD?

You don't unless you are a doctor and have run certain tests. Alot of people have an STD for years without even knowing. If you think you may have an STD, you and your partner must get medical attention. It won't go away or fix itself.

Can I get an STD without having sex?

Sexual intercourse, oral or anal sex are only some of the ways in which STD's are passed from one person to another. There are other ways to contract an STD such as , kissing or other intimate touching where fluids may be transferred. The sharing of needles for the injection of drugs, body piercing or tatoos can also transmit diseases.

How can I protect myself from pregnancy or STD's

The only way to insure that you will never get pregnant or contract an STD is to never have sex or share any needles with anyone. Using a latex condom everytime you have sex will reduce but not eliminate the risk of pregnancy and STD's. Other forms of birth control provide no protection against STD's. Abstinence provides the only 100% prevention of pregnancy and STD's.
